With Pilgrimage tourism in India ramping on upward curve, pilgrim safety and security is a need of the hour. While there are several measures adopted to control the crowds; stampedes resulting in subsequent loss of lives due to unattended medical emergencies have become an everyday phenomenon.
The Pilgrim tracking IoT solution has been specifically designed keeping in view all the real scenarios faced by the pilgrims as well as authorities during the pilgrimage season.
Our Pilgrim Tracking solution is based on the simple principle i.e. fit for purpose technology. Unlike most of the human tracking technologies such as RFID, our solution utilizes the dynamic capabilities of IoT and LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) currently being used for localization purposes in smart cities and industrial applications. LPWAN capabilities ensure high network coverage for transmitting and receiving communication which makes it possible to track human movement in terrains, mountains and high altitude areas of 10,000 feet and above.
The solution can be implemented by setting up a low power wide area network through IoT Detectors along with GPS covering the entire pilgrimage distance (journey start point to journey end point) traveled by the pilgrims.
